Iridescent Metallic Tattoos

“Can a tattoo really look like this?” The finished result always brings a sense of surprise and delight.

Vivid colour contrasts, highlights and shadows create the illusion of iridescent metal, shine and depth. Small objects and symbols offer a starting point for exploring these textures.

Glass, liquid metal and other material effects are directions I hope to explore in future work.

Frequently asked questions

Can my idea become an iridescent metallic tattoo or another material effect?

Share your subject or reference images so we can discuss suitable material effects. Please also send photos of the skin where you would like the tattoo, so I can consider your skin tone when planning colours, contrast and composition.

Can a small tattoo show a metallic effect?

Yes, depending on the shape, detail and placement. Highlights and shadows need enough space, so I generally recommend a size of around 5 cm or more, adjusted to the design.

Packing too many colours into a very small area to force a smaller design makes skin trauma harder to control and may affect colour retention after healing. I recommend a suitable size and level of detail with skin condition and healed results in mind.

How do I enquire and book?

Complete the website enquiry form or contact me via Instagram or WhatsApp with reference images, photos of the intended placement and your approximate size.

New appointments are scheduled for 2027. Sending an enquiry does not confirm a booking. The final price is confirmed when the design is agreed.
